New communicational campaign was launched for the Hungarian organized 17th FINA World Championships. The campaign has focused on the introduction of the six water disciplines: swimming, water polo, open water swimming, synchronized swimming, diving and high diving. The core idea of the campaign is to introduce each of the six disciplines through a parallelism with a legendary water creature. These animals use international ‘language’, since they show significant similarities with the characteristics of each of the sport branches. The animals come to live in a utopist, classicistic space, under frescos following the theme of water sports. To help the association between the animal symbols and the sport branches, black and white projections of the last decades’ greatest athletes and their glory are shown on different sections of the wall, reflecting the animated statues.
